Break's Over
After a long break (not counting the USOC match) we're back to league play tonight with the Chicago Fire in town. The Fire and Rapids were considered the favorite to battle for the wooden spoon and the Fire are living up to that prediction. Kickoff is at 7pm so the tailgate starts at 4. Stay hydrated if you're coming out to the game, its going to be a hot one. Those that can't make it can see the game on Altitude.
Player Availability:
OUT: D Bobby Burling (knee surgery); D Sean St. Ledger (knee); D Jared Watts (face)
QUESTIONABLE: M Marco Pappa (knee)
UNAVAILABLE: M Shkelzen Gashi (Albania National team); M Jermaine Jones (U.S. National team); D Joseph Greenspan (Navy duty)
YELLOW CARD CAUTION: D Marc Burch (4 games to good behavior reduction)
The Fire have 3 players out and one Questionable. If our center back depth were any shallower we'd be beached on a reef. Going to be a tough few games in defense.
Starting XI Prediction:
We could see Castillo in the middle but Miller seems the more likely option. Serna seems to excel as a sub so I'm assuming Badji gets the start.
Prediction: 1-0 win, goal by Kevin Doyle. The Fire have a decent defense but no offense and the Rapids don't exactly score a ton either. Colorado controls the game and gets the deseerved win but it won't be high-scoring.
