Sunday Night Football

An oddly timed match this week worked out with the weather report, for once.  By the time of kickoff on Sunday night the storm should have blown through and temps should be around 50 degrees.  So cool, but not another Snow Clasico.  With Seattle in town some Rapids fans are hoping new Broncos QB and part Sounders owner Russell Wilson will make an appearance.  The only reason I'm hoping to see him is to ask him why he didn't give up some of his salary if he wanted an offensive line in Seattle.  Traitor.

Injury Report:
OUT: M Ollie Larraz
QUESTIONABLE: M Jack Price

Disciplinary Report:
SUSPENDED: D Auston Trusty, D Lucas Esteves
SUSPENDED AFTER ONE YELLOW: F Diego Rubio

Again, nothing official from the team yet so I'm listing last week's injury report.  I'll update if we get something before game time.  Safe bet Zardes will be Questionable at best given how he left the game in KC.

With this being the 5th game  in 15 days (one of which was played over 2 days) its really hard to predict a lineup.  Before Esteves got his red  I thought we might see Beitashour at right back to finally give Rosenberry a break but that doesn't look possible now.  I'm guessing with the cooler weather Price won't start, but if he dies we could see Acosta on the bench or moving to a less wing-heavy 5-3-2.

Prediction: 1-1 draw, goal by Rubio.  This is a bit optimistic, but we're a better team at home.  Seattle is a good team, despite their record, but they're tired too and are talking about rotating their squad a bit.  I think we eek out a draw to keep our home unbeaten streak going.
