Rapids Make First Ever Trip To Montreal

I just don't get poutine

The Rapids haven't had much luck in Canada, being winless in Toronto when playing TFC and going 1-1-1 in Vancouver all-time.  Of course we also had our greatest triumph north of the border, winning MLS Cup in Toronto.  We open a third front in our Canadian war with our first trip to Stade Saputo in Montreal tomorrow.  Game time is 5pm and the game will be on Altitude.  For those of you out of the Altitude area its also on Univision Deportes. The Denver viewing party is at the Armoury.

Injury Report:
OUT:  DF Diego Calderon (R knee Surgery)
QUESTIONABLE: GK Matt Pickens (L arm fracture); MF Martin Rivero (L quad strain); MF Jaime Smith (R groin strain)

Disciplinary Report:
SUSPENDED AFTER ONE YELLOW: MF Hendry Thomas
SUSPENDED AFTER TWO YELLOWS: MF Dillon Powers

Ineligible:
FW Charles Eloundou - Still waiting on International Transfer Certificate
DF Shane O'Neill - U.S. U-20 World Cup

Montreal is missing 3 players to injury, but it hasn't slowed them down as they're at the top of the league right now.  The Rapids are still filling holes in the line up and based on comments this week, Pareja is obviously getting frustrated by the lack of scoring.  My guess at what he'll do this week:

Despite giving up 3 goals to Portland I think Pareja gives this back 4 another try.  He may go back to a single striker but given the total failure of the offense in Portland I think we see the Buddle-Brown paring again.

Key To Look For: Defense.  Montreal has the best offense in the league

Prediction: 2-0 loss.  I don't see how we get anything out of this game.  The best we can hope for is not to get injured or suspended.
