The Rapids had scheduled the announcement of their new Argentine #10 today at 3pm, but President Tim Hinchey tweeted this afternoon that the announcement would be delayed until tomorrow due to the fact he had to take an unexpected trip to Dallas. Meanwhile the Denver Post is reporting that the player is likely Martin Rivero, formally of Rosario Central in the Argentine 2nd division. Rosario Central seems to be one of those yo-yo teams that will jump up to the top division only to sink back down, then repeat. They are currently in a promotion spot, along with River Plate, and Rivero is credited with being one of the leaders in getting them to that spot.
Also today the Rapids said that Issac Cowles and Aaron Pitchkolan will re-join training camp while the team is in town this week before they leave for Hawai'i on Sunday.
