Rivero Finally Gets Clearance

As you can see above, FIFA has granted a provisional waiver to the USSF to register Martin Rivero as a Colorado Rapid.  This means he's now eligible to play in first team and reserve games.  FIFA had to do this because the Argentine FA has still not provided Rivero's International Transfer Certificate.  I think Rosario Central is still bitter that the Rapids swooped in and signed Rivero away from them while they couldn't pay him.

On a completely different note, its interesting that FIFA uses Colorado Rapids SC as the team name in official communication.  I didn't realize the SC was an official part of the name.
